Concerts
1966 Season

Each year, as part of the publicity program, the Circus would print pads of flyers that would be distributed to hotels, restaurants, and other places where people gathered. These flyers would have the complete schedule of shows and concerts along with the ticket prices.

John Zuchero writes on Aug. 28, 2023:
It was June of 1966 and my best friend, Tom Yack, and I went to the Music Circus to see the Supremes. As you probably know from your research, Stevie Wonder was a warmup act. As I remember it, he was still being introduced as "Little Stevie Wonder." My friend and I had never heard of him, but what a show he put on that night! I remember that when the Supremes came on we were so blown away by Stevie Wonder's performance that we were kind of disappointed by them.

Nancy wrote us:
"I saw Maurice Chevalier at Lambertville on one of his "Farewell Tours" in the early 60s. Also saw (among many other bands) Paul Revere and the Raiders there. The bands would run up to the stage from a tunnel under a section of seats. When Paul Revere and his band ran offstage, someone leaned over the rail and grabbed one of their plumed tri-corner hats!
Thanks for this great web site!"
