Musicals & Plays
1967 Season

For the second year in a row, only three musicals and one review were staged at the Music Circus in the 1967 Season. They followed the first four weeks, from June 2, 1966 thru July 3, 1967, where the Music Circus presented Performers in Concert.

In an example of how Life Imitates Art, it is noted that the Review presented August 15 thru August 20, 1967 was "Minsky's Burlesque Follies." We've seen in the musical "Gypsy" and other shows and films, one of the indicators that a theater was nearing its demise is when it starts booking Vaudeville Acts and then goes even lower by booking (gasp!) Burlesque Shows. Did Mr. Terrell and the other staff at the Music Circus in 1966 notice this? Who knows.

Each year, the Music Circus' Public Relations Office would produce a "Season Souvenir Program" at the beginning of each season, listing the shows and other attractions being offered for the whole season.
